Balancing two conflicting requirements, or blending two complimentary capabilities?
Tuesday 28th February 2023 5pm to 6pm GMT (no fee)
How can leaders balance the need to be clear and consitent around strategy and plans so they can keep teams engaged and focused, while retaining the agility and responsiveness to rapidly change course whenever circumstances shift?
These often feel like two conflicting demands that can’t both be met, and thus, many leaders find themselves trying to “hold” a huge weight of uncertainty on their own shoulders in order to protect colleagues and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
That might be fine for a while, but it’s rarely healthy or sustainable for a long period, and more than that, it actually prevents you from making the most of the talent around you and building the capacities and resilience you will need in the organisation for the future.
So, how can we break out of this cycle of “satisfying and protecting” everyone who depends on us, while we take on all the stress ourselves? How can we safely share the load and help everyone else grow and expand from the experience? How can we set our organisations up to be far more agile and strategic?
Join me on the evening of Tuesday 28th February to find out, and share your thoughts, reflections and questions with your peers from across the sector.
