Various large charities have published strategies within the last twelve months, that not only include partnership as a core element of their future, but that also consciously include goals that the charity explicitly acknowledges it cannot achieve by itself.

This recent trend is in response to the increasing recognition that to create the scale of change to which our organisations aspire for within society, we have to work together, across organisations, sectors and industries, in concert and coalition.

But this is not always easy. Partnerships take work and often bring risks and conflicts; and coalitions can multiply these issues many times over. The question is therefore, how can we build better, stronger, more purposeful coalitions? And how can we embrace and accelerate this trend of collaborative working, and unlock the full potential of our collective impact?

To help answer that question, I am hosting a complimentary online breakfast seminar, exclusively for charity CEOs, on Thursday 20th January 2022, on “Building Impactful Coalitions”.

My guest speakers will be Katie Ghose, CEO of Kids, and Mark Hodgkinson, CEO of Scope and co-Chair of the Disability Charities Coalition, who will share their respective insights and lessons from initiating, leading, and sustaining collaborative ventures and coalitions within the sector. The session will begin at 8:00am on Zoom and will finish at 9:45am, and will provide a unique opportunity for facilitated, in-depth, open and honest discussion with a high-level group of experienced peers.
