Webinar: the future of volunteering

Volunteering - sWebinar: The Future of Volunteering

Tuesday 13th April 2021, 5pm-6pm (no fee)

The profile, uptake and even the nature of volunteering has shifted, in some ways dramatically, since the start of the pandemic. We have seen over 10 million people volunteering in their communities during the pandemic, many of them for the first time. Depending on what we do next, this could be a one-off, freak event, or the start of something new and incredibly powerful.

The challenge and complexity of engaging, deploying and retaining that tidal wave of interest will only increase, as some people return to work while others lose their jobs, and our health systems, inequalities, and social safety-nets, all come under increasing sustained pressure in the economic aftermath of Covid-19.

With that future context, the role of volunteering has never been more critical. So, what have we learned? What could the future of volunteering look like in this changing landscape? And how can we adapt our organisations to help our people meet these new and rapidly growing challenges?

To help shed some light on all of those questions, I’d like to invite you to join me in conversation and Q&A with Catherine Johnstone, CEO of Royal Voluntary Service, and other special guests, for an insightful walk through the journey so far, the outlook ahead, and the efforts underway to reshape the future of volunteering.

You will walk away with a clear understanding of:

  • The core principles of success that have emerged through the pandemic
  • The new and emerging models and technologies that have started to prove their worth
  • The key challenges facing volunteering organisations, and how they need to adapt
  • The new opportunities we are beginning to see, and how to get access to them

These seminars represent a rare opportunity for leaders from disparate organisations, to step away from the day-to-day, to think more strategically about the opportunities in front of them, and to learn new and better ways to drive their success.

To book a place, simply drop me a line and I will register you and forward the Zoom details. Feel free to share this invitation with colleagues and those in your network whom you think might be interested.
